jrose@1100 2244 // * LinkResolver::resolve_field requires that the constant pool

jrose@1100 2246 // class about the type of the field signature.
jrose@1100 2247 //
jrose@1100 2248 // * klassVtable::initialize_vtable requires that, when a class

jrose@1100 2250 // overriding method (i.e., the callee) agree with the superclass
jrose@1100 2251 // on each type in the method's signature.
jrose@1100 2252 //

jrose@1100 2255 // itable, the method (i.e., the callee) agree with the interface

jrose@1100 2260 // such as bootstrapping, dumping, and debugging.
jrose@1100 2261 //
jrose@1100 2262 // No direct constraint is placed between the class and its
jrose@1100 2263 // supertypes. Constraints are only placed along linked relations
jrose@1100 2264 // between callers and callees. When a method overrides or implements
jrose@1100 2265 // an abstract method in a supertype (superclass or interface), the
